The next bubble in your queue appears after each shot.

When a color appears in your hand that no longer exists on the board, plan to park it against the ceiling where it will not block future matches. Thinking one bubble ahead is the difference between steady clears and a board that creeps down toward the loss line at row nine.
A frequent error is firing directly at a gap when a wall bounce would land the bubble more cleanly into a buried cluster, since the straight line clips the wrong row on the hex grid. Another mistake is adding single bubbles that grow the ceiling instead of popping groups; a shot only clears when three or more same-color bubbles connect. Beginners also forget that popping the bubbles holding up a cluster drops every bubble above it for bonus points worth five each, so attacking support bubbles beats nibbling at the bottom. Watch the loss threshold too: once any bubble settles at row nine or below, the game ends, so do not let the field drift down while you hunt for perfect shots. Finally, avoid wasting an off-color bubble on a low cell where it becomes a future obstacle.
Popping a connected group awards ten points per bubble cleared. When that pop disconnects bubbles from the ceiling, those floating bubbles fall and add five points each, so attacking support bubbles to drop a whole cluster scores far more than clearing groups one at a time.
The game ends when any bubble settles at row nine or lower on the grid. Every shot you fire that fails to pop a group adds to the ceiling and pushes the field downward, so prioritize clearing shots before the bottom rows fill in.
A fired bubble travels in a straight line and reflects off the left and right walls at an equal angle. Bank shots let you reach buried clusters and tight gaps that a direct shot would overshoot, since the bounce can slip your bubble into a side cell the open line misses.
You cannot store a bubble, but you can read the next-color preview and plan around it. If your current color is useless, fire it somewhere harmless so the better next color comes up. Park colors that no longer exist on the board where they will not block future matches.
The board is a hexagonal grid, so alternating rows are staggered half a cell sideways. A bubble snaps to the nearest open hex cell where it stops, which is why aiming straight at a visible gap sometimes drops it one row short or into a neighboring slot.
